Kate Spade Names Jonathan Saunders Executive Creative Director
Kate Spade New York has named Jonathan Saunders as executive creative director, effective August 26. Based at the brand’s Hudson Yards headquarters, he will oversee product design and visual identity, reporting to brand president and chief executive Eva Erdmann. Saunders joins from H&M-owned & Other Stories, where he served as creative director, and brings experience from Diane von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein, Tiffany & Co., Pucci and Alexander McQueen. His appointment forms part of Tapestry’s effort to strengthen Kate Spade’s product and brand direction following weaker performance.

Ralph Lauren Debuts Permanent Ralph’s Coffee in Boston
Ralph Lauren debuted Boston’s first permanent Ralph’s Coffee alongside a new clothing store in the Seaport district. The café follows a Ralph’s Coffee truck used to introduce the concept Locally ahead of the permanent opening. Its interior replicates the brand’s hunter-green-and-white palette with 1990s-inspired décor. The menu includes espresso drinks, cold brew, pastries, and breakfast, with coffee supplied by Philadelphia-based La Colombe. The adjoining store is Ralph Lauren’s third Boston location. The opening forms part of the company’s international café expansion, creating an additional point of contact beyond apparel.

Alo Extends Its Luxury Portfolio into Eyewear
Alo has launched its first sunglasses collection, extending its core offering from activewear. Designed in Los Angeles and handcrafted in Japan, the range comprises six styles priced between $250 and $375, available online and through Alo Sanctuary stores, excluding South Korea. The frames use Takiron acetate, hand-polished finishes and selected palladium or gold-plated hardware. The launch follows its 2025 entry into Italian-made handbags and supports the company’s strategy of building a broader lifestyle offering across fashion, wellness, travel and hospitality.

Skims Partners with Vettese on Limited-Edition Collection
Skims has partnered with Los Angeles luxury label Vettese on a limited-edition, seven-piece ready-to-wear capsule, marking its first collaboration with an emerging designer. Developed over the course of two years, the collection combines Vettese’s sculptural wrapping and tubular construction with Skims’ Modal fabric. Convertible tops, draped skirts and fitted dresses can be reconfigured or worn in multiple ways, supporting transitions from day to evening. Offered in ecru, cocoa and onyx, the range spans sizes XXS to 4XL, is priced from $64 to $148 and will be available for one season via Skims’ website and its New York and Los Angeles flagship stores.

Moët & Chandon Introduces Trackside Dining at Formula 1
LVMH-owned brand Moët & Chandon introduced The Out Lap at the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix, a dining experience aboard a glass-walled bus travelling around the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Groups of 12 received food and Champagne pairings from Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno and cellar master Benoît Gouez, accompanied by former drivers and Formula 1 commentator David Croft, who explained the circuit’s history. Priced at $13,450, the experience will extend to the Dutch, Italian and Spanish Grands Prix with locally adapted menus, before reaching additional locations next season. The activation forms part of LVMH’s 10-year Formula 1 partnership.

Four Seasons Prepares to Reopen Venice’s Hotel Danieli
Four Seasons will reopen Venice’s historic Hotel Danieli this summer as Danieli Venezia, following the restoration of its three palaces, including the 14th-century Palazzo Dandolo. Led by interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, the first phase will offer 120 rooms and suites, with additional accommodation planned for 2027. The redesign preserves the property’s Venetian identity through Murano glass, terrazzo, Italian marble, Rubelli silk damask and furnishings from Italian manufacturers and local artisans. Executive chef Adriano Rausa will oversee Restaurant Terrazza Danieli, supported by Bar Dandolo and the rooftop bar. Guest programming will include tailored itineraries involving local craftspeople, hidden gardens, sustainability projects and Voga Veneta lessons at a historic rowing club, including encounters with artisans who produce traditional oars for Venetian boats.

Venice Hotel Cipriani Welcomes Dior Spa
Dior has opened a two-story spa at Venice’s Hotel Cipriani as part of its continuing collaboration with Belmond, following the hotel’s phased renovation by Peter Marino Architect. The facility contains five treatment rooms, including one for couples, a relaxation lounge and a boutique offering Dior fragrance, skincare, makeup and the Haute Wellness collection. Its programme includes three treatments: the Mascarade facial, the Grand Bal hair, face, makeup and nail protocol, and the four-handed Théâtre Corporel body treatment. Additional experiences include a nutrition-focused Self Alignment Cruise developed with Rose Ferguson and Grounding Slow Movement Therapy created with Pilates coach Bryony Deery.

The Ritz-Carlton Integrates Merit Beauty Across the Guest Stay
The Ritz-Carlton has partnered with Merit Beauty on a limited-run programme that integrates a beauty routine across several stages of the guest journey. Running through the fall at seven North American properties, the collaboration begins in Club Lounges, where beauty carts provide complimentary skincare and makeup, supported by Merit educators at selected hotels. Club Level guests can order a curated selection through in-room dining, while turndown service pairs chocolates with skincare samples. The experience also extends to F&B through a Minimalist Martini served with a sample of Merit’s Retrospect fragrance. Before departure, guests can purchase a travel kit containing the featured products, an exclusive Flush Balm, a co-branded pouch and keychain. The initiative marks Merit’s first hospitality partnership and allows guests to continue the routine after their stay.

Mercedes-Benz Brings its Studio Concept to Beverly Hills
Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated its first U.S. Studio concept in Beverly Hills, joining a network operating across 18 cities and four continents. The private space offers one-to-one consultations with product specialists and houses the country’s first Manufaktur Made to Measure Hub, where clients select materials, finishes and design combinations. The United States generates more than 40% of worldwide Manufaktur demand. The programme is also expanding to the Mercedes-AMG SL Roadster and GT Coupé, with hundreds of exterior paint finishes available. The opening included the global premiere of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS.

Lamborghini Introduces Virtual Showroom for Apple Vision Pro
Lamborghini has introduced its first spatial-computing application on Apple Vision Pro, providing a digital showroom that presents vehicles at full scale. The line-up includes The Temerario, Revuelto, Urus SE and Urus SE Performante, which appeared in the application before their physical debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Users can position vehicles within their surroundings or enter an immersive environment, navigating through eye and hand movements. The experience enables users to examine hybrid powertrains, structural frames and aerodynamics, review Centro Stile sketches with designer commentary and hear model sounds through Spatial Audio.
