Former Gucci Creative Director Sabato De Sarno Joins Icicle
Sabato De Sarno, former Creative Director of Gucci, has been appointed Creative Director at Icicle, where he will oversee men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and eyewear. His inaugural collection for the Shanghai-founded brand is set to debut for the Autumn/Winter 2027–28 season, with Bénédicte Laloux remaining as Design Director for the Women’s Show Collection under his leadership. Founded in 1997, Icicle operates over 200 global stores under ICCF Group, a company backed by a Kering minority investment.

Theory Names James Kelly Global CEO of Theory and Helmut Lang
Fast Retailing-owned Theory has named James Kelly global CEO of Theory and Helmut Lang, succeeding Dinesh Tandon, who transitions to global co-COO of Theory and resumes his role as CEO of Theory China. Based in New York, Kelly will oversee global headquarters operations, commercial activities, and international growth. Since joining Theory in 2022 as CFO before becoming co-COO, Kelly strengthened DTC channels, planning, finance, and business transformation across North America and Europe. Previously, he held executive roles at Fast Retailing, scaling Uniqlo in the U.S. and leading its Canadian expansion.

Armani Group Names Dario Vitale as Creative Director of Emporio Armani and Accessories
The Armani Group has named Dario Vitale as the Creative Director of Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani Accessories, effective immediately. Vitale becomes the first designer outside the Armani family’s creative circle to assume a leading role at the house. Vitale brings extensive experience to the position, having spent 15 years at Miu Miu followed by a brief tenure as Chief Creative Officer at Versace. The upcoming Emporio Armani Spring 2027 collection, debuting on September 24 in a presentation format rather than a traditional runway show, was designed by Silvana Armani and Leo Dell’Orco and will precede Vitale’s inaugural work for the house.

RH Reports Q2 Growth and Advances Expansion Plans
US luxury home furnishings brand RH reported Q2 FY2026 net revenues of $922.2 million, up 2.6% and slightly above its guidance range of 0.5% to 2.5% growth. Net income totaled $60.2 million, while adjusted EBITDA reached $178.5 million, representing a 19.4% margin. Cash generation totaled $72.3 million, while net debt declined to $2.26 billion. Growth plans center on RH Estates, a collection focused on traditional and classical furniture and supported by the company’s acquisitions of Michael Taylor Designs, Formations, Dennis & Leen, Joseph Jeup and Dmitriy. Introduced through a 268-page Sourcebook, the collection is expected to expand in November across galleries representing approximately 80% of RH’s business. International expansion continued with RH London, while new RH Compounds are planned in Naples and Aventura. For Q3 FY2026, RH expects revenue growth of 5% to 6%, while full-year revenue growth is forecast at 5.5% to 7%.

Reformation Posts Double-Digit Revenue Increase for Q2 FY2026 Following IPO
Reformation posted strong Q2 FY2026 results, marking its 21st consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Revenue increased by 24.1% to $155.2 million, supported by growth across channels, markets and product categories. The DTC channel remained the primary revenue contributor, growing by 21.2% to $135.3 million, mainly driven by a 22.9% increase in active customers. Wholesale revenue increased by 48.7% to $19.9 million, reflecting higher volumes and a positive response to the spring and summer collections. The brand opened four stores during the quarter, bringing its global network to 70 locations. After making its Wall Street debut in July at an IPO price of $15 per share, Reformation’s stock traded below its offer price before rising 3.4% to $13.60 in after-hours trading following the release of its Q2 results.

L Catterton Eyes Controlling Stake in Hyrox to Fuel Asian Expansion
Private equity firm L Catterton is in advanced discussions to acquire a controlling stake in fitness competition brand Hyrox at an estimated valuation of €600 million ($697 million), alongside potential global co-investors to fund Asian expansion. Founded in 2017 in Hamburg, Germany, Hyrox organizes mass-participation fitness events alternating running with functional workout stations and will host its 2027 World Championships in Hong Kong, its first outside Europe and North America. Currently owned by Dalian Wanda Group-backed Infront Sports & Media AG, Hyrox would join Equinox, Hydrow, and L.A.B. Golf in L Catterton’s active lifestyle portfolio.

Caudalie Group Acquires Majority Stake in Talm
The Caudalie Group has acquired a majority stake in French sensitive skincare brand Talm, marking the group’s first brand acquisition following an initial minority investment in 2022. Founder Kenza Keller retains a minority share and continues as CEO, maintaining operational and creative independence across strategy, product development and marketing. The acquisition aims to accelerate Talm’s domestic and international distribution, particularly by leveraging Caudalie’s established commercial presence in the French pharmacy channel. Founded in 2021 for pregnancy and postpartum care, Talm expanded its portfolio to broader age demographics in 2023. The brand currently offers 12 products, registers double-digit year-over-year sales growth, and distributes across 60 doors in 12 countries.

Biologique Recherche Establishes a Permanent New York Flagship
Biologique Recherche has opened its first New York flagship at 132 Greene Street in SoHo, following a six-month pop-up that welcomed more than 2,400 clients and completed over 550 skin assessments. Marking the brand’s 4th U.S. location and 11th globally, the venue combines retail with four treatment rooms offering $50 skin health assessments, signature facials (priced between $275 and $495), and 60-minute body treatments (from $275). Designed with architecture studio Casper Mueller Kneer and led by SVP of Global Creative Wandjina Glasheen-Brown, the launch follows a broader creative overhaul. Biologique Recherche spans 3,000+ global distribution points across 74 countries, including 400 added last year via retailers like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.

Fendi Casa Debuts First Paris Flagship on Avenue George V
Fendi Casa celebrated the official opening of its first Paris flagship at 16–18 Avenue George V in the city’s Golden Triangle. Following a soft opening in May, the two-story boutique marks the brand’s second location in France after Cannes. Mulberry Returns to London Fashion Week with Christopher Kane's Debut

Appointed Creative Director for the category in March 2026, Kane’s designs, scheduled for retail rollout in January 2027, are set to re-establish the brand's fashion credentials following its exit from ready-to-wear in 2020. The runway return forms a core component of the "Back to the Mulberry Spirit" turnaround plan, launched in January 2025 to counter negative financial performance. In FY25, Mulberry’s revenue dropped by 21% to £120.4 million, widening pre-tax losses to £23.7 million and prompting takeover pressure from major shareholder Frasers Group.

Genesis Partners with Hand Hospitality for Genesis House Dining
South Korean automotive brand Genesis has appointed New York-based Korean hospitality company Hand Hospitality Group to manage the dining operations at Genesis House, its cultural destination in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. Hand Hospitality, which operates Korean and Japanese concepts including Jua and Cho Dang Gol, replaces original partner Restaurant Associates. The restaurant closes temporarily this month and will reopen later this fall with a reimagined culinary concept. Throughout the transition, the showroom and cultural spaces remain open, featuring the newly unveiled GV90 flagship SUV alongside ongoing programming.
