L'Oréal Nears Medik8 Acquisition –
L'Oréal is reportedly nearing a deal to acquire Medik8, a British premium skincare brand, for approximately $1.1 billion. Medik8, known for its clinical products like the Crystal Retinal range and Liquid Peptides serums, manufactures all its products in-house. The brand's sales reached an estimated $70 to $80 million in 2024. This acquisition would integrate Medik8 into L'Oréal's dermatological beauty unit alongside blockbuster brands CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, and SkinCeuticals.

Jonathan Anderson Appointed Creative Director at Dior
Jonathan Anderson has been appointed as the sole creative director for Dior, overseeing men's and women's collections, including couture and accessories. This significant move marks a return to the unified creative structure that defined Christian Dior's original vision for the house. Anderson brings a wealth of experience from within the LVMH Group. He was appointed creative director of Loewe in September 2013 and established his label. Prior to this he had established his namesake label JW Anderson in 2008, in which LVMH acquired a minority stake in 2013. Anderson's inaugural couture designs are anticipated in January 2026, with Dior skipping the coming couture season in July.

Chanel Fashion Launches on RedBook
Chanel's fashion house has launched RedBook, China's 3d largest social media platform after WeChat and Douyin, with 100 million daily active users. Its beauty division initially established a presence on the platform in 2020. The brand's inaugural post was a video promoting the Métiers d’Art 2025 collection, unveiled last December in Hangzhou. Featuring model Liu Wen discussing her experience opening the show, the video quickly garnered significant attention, boosting the brand's account to 3,150 followers.

Printemps Paris Introduces New VIP Space
Printemps has officially unveiled the Augustine Suite, a new private space on the 6th floor of its flagship Boulevard Haussmann boutique in Paris, which is available by appointment only. Named in homage to co-founder Augustine Jaluzot, the space is designed for VIP customers featuring a lounge, a bar, private fitting rooms, and a terrace with Eiffel Tower views. Architect Tristan Auer designed the suite to feel like a classic Parisian home, matching the store's look. An international team offers special services like personal shopping, concierge help, custom catering, and private event planning.

Huda Kattan Buys Back Huda Beauty
Huda Kattan has repurchased the minority stake previously held by TSG Consumer Partners, thus establishing full ownership of the company she founded. The stake was originally acquired by TSG in 2017, based on a brand valuation of $1.2 billion. Kattan resumed her role as CEO last year, followed by the recent divestment of Huda Beauty's fragrance line, Kayali, to General Atlantic.

Zadig & Voltaire Founders Expand into Jewelry
Thierry and Arnaud Gillier, co-founders of Zadig & Voltaire, are expanding the company portfolio beyond accessible fashion via two acquisitions: watchmaker Maison Poiray and fine jewelry brand Aurélie Bidermann. The two brands were acquired from AMS group through Zadig & Voltaire’s holding company, Iéna Investissements. The Gillier brothers plan to revitalize Poiray by revamping its flagship Paris boutique, appointing a new creative director, and targeting a younger audience while preserving its heritage. Maison Poiray and Aurélie Bidermann will be run separately from ZV Holding, the company that manages Zadig & Voltaire and the cashmere brand Pellat-Finet.
