Julien Dossena Exits Rabanne
Rabanne has announced the departure of Creative Director Julien Dossena after a 13-year tenure. Dossena successfully elevated the Puig-owned brand's fashion profile by modernizing its avant-garde chainmail heritage, boosting popularity among younger consumers with commercial successes like mesh handbags. This departure aligns with a broader executive restructuring, following the appointments of a new Puig CEO in March and former Givenchy CEO Renaud de Lesquen to lead Rabanne’s fashion and fragrance divisions. A successor has not been named, though market speculation points to former Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing.

CEO Emmanuel Gintzburger Exits Versace
Prada Group has confirmed the resignation of Versace CEO Emmanuel Gintzburger, effective June 23, 2026. This leadership transition follows Prada's €1.25 billion acquisition of Versace from Capri Holdings in April 2025. Gintzburger leaves after anchoring the initial corporate integration and securing incoming Chief Creative Officer Pieter Mulier, effective July 1. Under Executive Chairman Lorenzo Bertelli, Versace is undergoing structural optimization to elevate asset performance. Strategic pivots include dissolving the licensed Versace Jeans Couture sub-brand, reviving the Atelier couture line, and shifting to full-price wholesale and retail distribution.

Frasers Group’s Premiumization Strategy Faces APAC Roadblock
Frasers Group’s $273.59 million takeover bid for Accent Group has been rejected by an independent board committee as financially inadequate. Frasers, currently Accent’s largest shareholder with a 23% stake, targeted the footwear giant to anchor its Sports Direct expansion into Asia-Pacific. Accent dominates the region with 860 stores, 31 e-commerce sites, and a 2025 turnover of $1.02 billion USD ($1.13 billion USD including franchises). Under CEO Michael Murray, this move reflects Frasers' premiumization strategy to transition from discount retail into global luxury, supported by its recent €2 billion bid for Hugo Boss. However, the rejection highlights an ongoing credibility gap, as analysts labeled the bid an opportunistic attempt to exploit temporary market weakness.

Saks Emerges from Bankruptcy Under New Name
Saks Global has exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy and rebranded as the Exemplar Luxury Group, emerging with a roughly 75% debt reduction, $500 million in exit financing, and a new ABL facility. CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck said the new name reflects a unified "luxury collective" spanning Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman. During Chapter 11, the company cut costs, consolidated functions like merchandising, and shrank its footprint; Saks Fifth Avenue now has 15 stores, Neiman Marcus 33, and Saks Off 5th was reduced to just 12 stores as a liquidation-only channel. A new seven-person board was also formed, including Pentwater Capital and Bracebridge Capital representatives plus new independent directors Dave Kimbell (former Ulta Beauty CEO) and Philippe Schaus (former Moët Hennessy CEO).
